This year, Mammoth has broken its all-time snowfall record with over 53 FEET of snow recorded this year and more on the way. It isnt still 53 feet deep, since it compacts over time, but the standing snowpack is well over 25' in this picture. As for LA... on Mt Wilson today there was 3 inches of snow with more falling as i was there... anywhere north of Ventura is at above 'average' rainfall for the year, and LA is within a couple of inches of average. The next few storms in the forecast may erase the small gap.
