Usually by mid march, temperatures are starting to warm up. However, by this weekend, the coldest storm of the winter, in fact of the last several winters, is predicted to roll into the area. Nowhere will temperatures reach above the mid 50s, if that. Snow will coat the mountains, and may also fall in such areas as Santa Clarita, upper Altadena, the Verdugo Mountains, and the higher parts of the Santa Monica Mountains. Wet snow may even fall in Las Vegas where i will be this weekend. Hopefully the passes do not close on Sunday or I will be stuck on the far side. (It's happened before, once i was stranded in Reno by a blizzard that lasted two days)
It'll be interesting. If next week isnt warm, perhaps i will try to go snowboarding the following weekend.
